As technology giant Google builds a soon-to-be completed transatlantic subsea cable system to connect Bermuda with Portugal and the United States, they have taken on Rize Technologies as their first official member in Bermuda.
Rize founder and CEO Gilbert Darrell said it brings the entire suite of Google Cloud products to the region. He said: “This collaboration not only expands the multitude solutions we offer to our clients in Bermuda but also underlines our dedication as a locally owned company committed to ensuring their success. “Working alongside Google has been fruitful as we customize our services to meet the specific demands of the public sector and local enterprises in Bermuda, ensuring they receive the best solutions to foster their growth.” He said that it was part of Rize Technologies’ ongoing development as a leading force in Bermuda’s IT landscape.
The company was formed last June by Bermudian investors, and has been progressively building a customer base, attracting talent and securing important alliances.
Rize is reselling Google’s services via distribution. It now offers a sophisticated IT and managed service provider framework that will significantly enhance local and regional IT services.
Mr Darrell, who has expertise in information technology, networking and cloud engineering, said: “Our relationship with Google not only bolsters our commitment to pioneering advanced IT but also strengthens the map as a significant player in the global technology landscape.”
He said the development will dramatically improve data capabilities and cloud solution offerings in Bermuda.
